The Baptisms Keep Coming!

These are only a few of the new members here in the Portugal Porto Mission.  Things are happening here, and our missionaries are seeing the hand of the Lord in the work and their miracle stories.

Monthly Training

Another month, another training.  This time we included President Xavier, from our Mission Presidency, and his daughter, Felicia, who served a mission on Temple Square.  Their wealth of knowledge is invaluable!!

January Transfers

Definitely the most exciting day in the mission is the day that transfer calls are made and everyone learns where they will be going and with whom they will be serving.  President Walton always keeps them guessing with lots of inspired assignments.  Then two days later they make the moves to their new areas.

January Departures

It's always bittersweet saying goodbye to our great missionaries.  There will always be a void from their departure, but we wish them well in the next phase of their lives!!

January Arrivals

In January we received 6 bright eyed greenies from the Provo MTC.  I don't know what they're doing there, but our new missionaries come "pre-trained"!!

Missionary Moments

With lots of missionaries there is always something fun, serious, spiritual, uplifting, and memorable going on.  Irmas Free and Dias give wonderful chapel tours!

A Wedding of One of Our Recently Departed Elders!

Elder Samuel Andrade met his bride, Liliana, here in the mission.  Later he returned to see her and propose.  This isn't the first marriage, but it is the first from Portugal!

Merry Christmas from the Portugal Porto Mission!!

Happy Holidays from all of us to all of our loved ones!

More Baptisms

Armenio and Nuria are the newest members of the Church in the Portugal Porto Mission!

Surprise Arrival!

Elder Brito had problems  getting his visa to come to Portugal.  By the time he got it, it was too late to head to the MTC in Madrid.  The next Portuguese session didn't start until February.  So we asked if he could start right away and have the MTC experience later.

Every Month Training!

Once a month each zone gets together to practice and learn to be better teachers.  It is always nice to be together working on our missionary skills!

Missionary Moments

So many different things happen everyday in the life of a missionary!  Sometimes they get to help the Mission President change his flat tire.
